Rascals Baseball

The River City Rascals are a professional baseball team that play in O'Fallon.  They are a great alternative to Cardinals baseball (think less crowded, less expensive, and less miles to get there for most of our homes).  Click here to visit their website and find out more; they play through August so consider going to a game!

We had great seats, right behind home plate!

Outdoor Movie a Success

Emmaus East campus was turned into an outdoor movie theatre this weekend!  A huge THANK YOU to Facilities for setting us up, Shawn H. & Randy B. for your helping hands before and during the show, and Susie P.'s whole family for serving us popcorn and tearing down.

Baseball Television; Tonight

Thank you Patrice R. for reminding me to watch this:
Did you know that SAS organizes a monthly night to watch baseball together?  It's usually a Thursday night. This month we gathered at Buffalo Wild Wings in St. Charles.  Check out the calendar for more opportunities!

Summer Dance Benefits the HCC Food Pantry

We danced the night away at a "Summer Dance" sponsored by the Volunteer Club.  The Volunteers decorated, prepared and served refreshments, and got everyone dancing!  A large box of canned goods was collected (as dance "admission") and will be donated to the Harvester Christian Church Food Pantry, which the Volunteer Club happens to be working at Tuesday evening July 16th.
Thank you Chelsea J. for taking so many great photos!

Try This at Home; Patriotic Craft

If you are getting bored this holiday weekend, consider visiting the craft store for a few supplies and making a patriotic decoration, like these yard stakes.  Click here for a link to the full directions and remember whenever you find an idea like this you can always change it up in ways that work for you.  For example, for this particular project I would choose a shorter word (less wooden letters to pay for!) such as "USA".  Instead of purchasing wood glue and dowels I might just lean the letters on a porch ledge.  You get the idea!
