Around Town: Hunt for St. Louis Cakes!

Angela's friend Nicole posing with a Cake at Lafayette Park
If you are active on social media you may have noticed pictures of your friends around town with cake replicas decorated and numbered "250".  St. Louis is having a big Birthday this year, 250!, and in celebration is the "Cakeway to the West" art exhibit which makes a fun scavenger hunt if you are looking for something to do and love to explore.  Each of the 250 cakes marks a notable location; click here to find a list of where they are and more details about the project.

If you go cake-hunting send Angela a note and picture about it please!  Email address curtisa@emmaushomes.org
This is not a S.A.S. sponsored activity, just a suggestion of something to try on your own.

Summer Dance Photo Fun

Matthias' Lot Church and We Love St. Charles graciously hosted us for a Summer Dance.  Their effort at setting up, decorating, serving, tearing down and most of all having fun with us is AWESOME.  The use of space is also much appreciated.  As part of the fun there was a 'photo booth' with some silly props.  Enjoy the photos.  (sorry some of them are sideways, not having any luck fixing that)
