Around Town: Festival of Nations

This weekend, August 23&24 is the "Festival of Nations" in Tower Grove Park in St. Louis.  There will be ethnic food booths, dance and music, and arts and crafts.  For a lot more information including a map, hours, and where to catch a shuttle service click here.  Note that this is not a SAS sponsored event but something you might like to do/support someone in doing on your own.

Around Town: Book Fair

This weekend Aug.15-Aug.17th "Friends of the St. Charles City-County Library" is sponsoring a Book Fair at the St. Charles Convention Center.  Admission is free and the prices are very low ie. 50 cents for a paperback, 10 cents for magazines.  For the full schedule and more details click here.

Back to School Dance Reminder

The Annual Back to School Dance is this Saturday, August 9th at 6:30pm in the Activity Center. Admission to the dance is one or more school supplies.  Registration is required.  Volunteer Club participants should arrive 1/2 hour early for setup or stay 1/2 hour late for cleanup.
