Movie Review

MaryAnn E. is reviewing "Tangled".
It was about a boy and a girl. She was really pretty. (What was special about her?) Her hair. I really liked it. (What part did you like best?) All of it! It was funny. I would recommend it. Five stars!

Tangled is now playing in theatres. Rated PG. Running time 100 minutes. Animated/Comedy/Family

Broccoli Salad Recipe

Tonight in cooking class we learned that salads can be sneaky. We think they are good for us and dive in when they might be loaded with fat and calories because of ingredients like cheese or mayonnaise; so watch out!!
This Broccoli Salad recipe makes six servings and has 46 calories and 1.4g fat per serving. It was taken from allrecipes.com. Our chefs gave it a thumbs up. You will see it is suitable for those of you on a regular diet (not soft).

INGREDIENTS:
  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets (our were blanched/dropped in boiling water for about a minute and then dried)
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 3 tablespoons raisins
  • 2 tablespoons dry roasted sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon fat-free mayonnaise

DIRECTIONS:

  • Combine the broccoli, onions, raisins, and sunflower seeds.
  • In a small bowl, whisk the yogurt, orange juice, and mayonnaise until blended. Pour over the broccoli mixture and toss to coat.
