Scrapbooking 101

Do you ever notice "Scrapbook Club" on the SAS calendar and wonder what it's all about? Well this "club" is open to everyone, we just gather to work on our scrapbooks together: cutting, sticking, decorating and so on. A scrapbook is a fun way to store your memories and momentos.

Here is a picture of a Christmas layout we tried. It has all the elements of a scrapbook page: A Title (Christmas 2011), A Photo (Santa), Journaling (written notes about the photo and activity), and Embellishment (the ribbon). Join us if you would like to give Scrapbooking a try! It is helpful to bring a photo, card, ticket stub, etc. Supplies are provided at Scrapbook Club but not books which are available at WalMart or Michaels or similar retail.

Ho Ho Ho

Breakfast with Santa pictures have been distributed to mailboxes in the main office. A big thank you to St. John U.C.C. for donating the space used for ALL of us to gather (no registration limits!!)
and to everyone who came. A special thank you as well to Sherifa Hardware and Chris Adams who coordinated gifts from Santa and to Shelley Saale for taking these great pictures.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas!

Not many posts for awhile - boy have we been a busy bunch! A Very Merry Christmas to all of you from your S.A.S. staff. What a joy it is to share in so many holiday traditions with you - baking, decorating, crafting, singing and on and on! Thank you so much for being a part of S.A.S.

What a Day

DID YOU KNOW that on Saturday October 22nd NINETY SEVEN volunteers shared their time and talents with Emmaus in a variety of ways? We met folks from Serve Day St. Louis (an annual day of service coordinated through members of Calvary Church in St. Peters), Church of Latter Day Saints, Rubin Brown, and Restore St. Charles. It was a beautiful day and great turnout for the fall festival, haunted house, community homes sprucing up, and a gazebo project. A special thank you to Facilities for all their extra work and to Chris Adams for effectively coordinating SO MANY volunteers!! Carriage rides at the Fall Festival.
