Patriotic Wreath Craft Project
A lot of teamwork and fun went into some patriotic decorations (pictured are ladies representing Remley Ct with the finished product). Basically start with a cardboard circle (we cut ours from cereal boxes), tape paper cones to it and a star in the middle. Click here for more detailed directions. We found construction paper easier to work with than thick cardstock. Larry suggested it would work well with all sorts of holiday colors (red and green for Christmas, pinks for Valentines, etc).
Nice job, ladies!
Dawn and Ruth worked together on this one and then hung it on their front door.

Dinner Date Night
Thank you everyone who participated in Dinner Date Night! There is No Registration Limit for this activity - persons/homes are paired up with each other and sent off to area restaurants for good company and good food. We had one group enjoying OCharley's at Cave Springs and another at Reynolds Roadhouse Restaurant at 3150 Elm Point Industrial Drive (near the 370/Elm McDonalds). Reynolds was given high marks for getting your money's worth. They also have car shows coming up May 19th and June 30th from 4p-10p, live music on a variety of nights, and bean bag toss on the patio.
Danny J. and Dennis H. both give Reynolds Road House two thumbs up! Register for the next dinner date night in August.

Join The Club
SAS is offering the chance to find your special interest and make new friends with Clubs. Clubs are a little different from our other various activities; they meet on a regular basis and are small groups.
A BOOK CLUB is forming with Cindy's leadership starting Tuesday May 8th at 6:30pm in the Activity Center (STEPS). You do not have to be a reader to be involved, go check it out (no pun intended!).
A GARDEN CLUB will meet every Thursday at 3:30pm, starting this Thursday May 10th. Patty will teach you the fundamentals of gardening and Shelley will work with you on your very own plot. Shelley is also offering a variety of ARTS and ENTERTAINMENT activities so keep watching the calendar.

And have you noticed all the sports-related activities offered lately? Sherifa is leading us in the fun of playing, watching and learning about SPORTS. Join a game of kickball this Saturday afternoon at 3:30 behind the main building.
And last but not least, the VOLUNTEER Club will meet on Tuesday evening May 22nd at 6:30 to plan some fun service projects.
For more information about any of the clubs contact Patty at 534-5264
