Around Town: Festival of the Little Hills
I have heard some of you mention an interest in checking out "Festival of the Little Hills" this weekend, Aug. 16-18, on historic Main Street in St. Charles and Frontier Park. Click here to go to a webpage with all the details about the festival like hours it is open each day, entertainment that will be there, and directions.
A few tips from a native St. Charlesan (me):
- expect large crowds
-parking can be a challenge and cost money so take one of the shuttle buses if you can like the ones from the parking lot of Duchesne High School (they are school buses, not necessarily equipped with lifts)
-the walking surface on Main Street is uneven, for a smoother walk I would explore the booths along the paved path in Frontier Park (the riverfront)
-the ice cream sandwiches sold by a church (sorry I don't know which one) at a booth near the intersection of Main St. and First Capitol are homemade and my FAVORITE!
